Mom & Baby Classes

Developed by Emily Seaman, Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, in collaboration with Bree Bates, a Physiotherapist working in Pelvic Health and Orthopedics. Our postnatal classes are designed to restore your pelvic floor and core and regain full body strength postpartum.

Join us weekly, in person at 842 Portland Street in Dartmouth on Wednesdays and Fridays at 1:30 PM.

When you choose to join Kohr Method, it's not only about supporting your return to exercise after pregnancy, labour and birth. We prioritize a mix of pelvic health education, postnatal strength training, and social interactions with fellow mommas. You’ll get to socialize ad get your sweat on while our “Baby Bouncers” help soothe your little one.

Return to Movement 

We want to ensure you're feeling confident and supported when you return to movement, post-baby. Here's what you can expect from our postnatal classes. We will be focusing on the following, in terms of programming: 

  • Breathing and breathing in connection with different exercises

  • Mobilization. Focusing on stability and control exercises, specific to the pelvic floor and transverse abdominis 

  • Rediscovering and strengthening the back body connection to the hamstrings, glutes, core, and back muscles

  • Strength-building pelvic floor and transverse abdominis exercises 

  • Other accessory strength-building exercises that support you and your new lifestyle as a mom such as arm and chest expansion exercises


Pricing Options 

There are a few different pricing options we recommend:

  • 4 Classes per month membership (3-month contract period) for $119 CAD + HST

  • 8 Classes per month membership (3-month contract period) for $169 CAD + HST

    PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM
    CORRECTIVE EXERCISE SPECIALIST

    Emily programs the exercise portion of the classes. The workouts are specifically designed to target postpartum recovery focusing on rebuilding the core, increasing strength and boosting energy.

  • Caitlin Mailman

    GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

    Caitlin helps lead moms through a circuit-style full-body workout focused on strength and pilates, with an emphasis on strengthening the core and pelvic floor. She provides the necessary support throughout class to ensure moms can maximize their workouts.
